Our Services
COUNSELING
Low cost counseling and support groups for individuals, children,
teens, and families. Services are offered in Spanish, Vietnamese,
Korean and English. Fees are based on sliding scale.
MOBILE CRISIS RESPONSE AND INTERVENTION SERVICES
24/7-hour crisis counseling is available directly in clients’
homes to mediate family crisis situations. Trained case managers
usually arrive within an hour after receiving a request for
intervention. Services are provided to runaway and out-of-control
youth and their families through the SOS (Status offender Services)
Network.
AFTERCARE SERVICES
For those youth and families who need longer term counseling,
Aftercare Services provide the counseling, support and intensive
case management needed to stabilize and develop the skills to
effectively communicate and become more in control of their lives.
SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAMS
ARCC provides counseling and case management services for
habitually truant/academically at-risk students on school campuses.
Students at risk for involvement with gangs or already in gangs
are engaged in services. Counselors work closely with school staff to
help students succeed in school.
HELP FOR VICTIMS OF VIOLENT CRIMES
The Victim Assistance Program provides long-term counseling
services to victims of violent crime.
FAMILY ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Helps strengthen family skills with a series of workshops on topics
such as communication skills, effective discipline, building
self-esteem, family unity and prevention of high-risk behaviors
in children. Workshops are offered in Spanish and English by
trained facilitators in a safe, comfortable atmosphere where
participants can share challenges, successes and lend support to
each other. We use a variety of activities to provide participants
with new ideas and creative tool to address the challenges of
adolescent behaviors.
TURNING POINT MENTORING AND VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS
Turning Point helps youth improve their relationship with parents,
peers and the community. With the assistance of trained adult
mentor partners, youth discover within themselves new possibilities
and take action to lead successful lives. Mentors meet with their
matched youth and conduct phone contact a minimum of once a week.
Youth also attend weekly life skills classes to reinforce the
concepts of the program. The curriculum addresses teen pregnancy
and tobacco use, anger management, leadership and other
prevention/prosocial topics.
Housed at Foothill Continuation High School.
